i cant find anything online for people with gastric that have gone through pregnancy.

My husband and I, pretty much went all the way, and well today even though i guess it would be considered day 1, im having a burning sensation in my stomach and some back pain?

I never have felt this way, and its constant and irritating..

is it gas or possibly early signs?

first response says i would need to wait 10 days for an accurant test result..

Oh and i had gastric RNY May 2007..

pee on the stick. what can it hurt? least you will have a baseline.
Just based on those symptoms cant really say. sorry. Each every person is different. Is this your first pregnancy? if not, is it the same symptoms as before? I can tel you MY symptoms, many of you will laugh your butts off about it.
With my this pregnancy, my 3yr old daughter came up to me one day and put her hand on my belly and TOLD me that HER baby was in there. That caused me alarm, why? Cuz i use to do that to my aunts and my mom and i was right. My symptoms were just like getting my period but nothing came, other than a big ol positive on the stick. I had no morning sickness with this one, no cramping, NO pregnancy indication at all. With my other 3, i had nothing on them either, other than I bled with each of them during the first few months. PLUS instinct took over and I just "knew".
When I got pregnant with my oldest, i was extremely tired. Heat sensitive that rolled down through the rest of mine. When i found out with this one, i had a "No wonder I was feeling this way and couldnt do this etc" moment. This pregnancy is NOTHING like my last ones.

I'm confused....you 'went all the way' as in w/o protection and today is 1 day from that?

You do need to wait til at least very close to the 10 days - most people won't get a positive test until after that time...some of us even take a few extra days past the 10 days (as in 14-16 days) get a positive.

Give more details on your cycle, your ovulation date and how far past that you are and you'll likely get more responses on when you should test or what could be going on.

Re not finding a lot of online info for post-WLS pregnancy...I don't know how much is there, but hoenstly think the vast majority of the info you'll need (ie people to ask questions of) will be found right here.

Good luck.

"pretty much went all the way" ??? What does that mean? You had sex?

You need to wait at a MINIMUM 10 days past Ovulation to see a positive pregnancy test. If you're not sure when you ovulated, you should wait until your first missed period and test then.

Good luck

OK, if by "went all the way", you mean had unprotected sex... then, no, you would not be having pregnancy symptoms the day after you had sex....
My advice is, if/when your period is late, do a pregnancy test.
Good luck...

This may sound weird but when my husband and I started trying after RNY I would have lower stomach pain and burning. I consulted my obgyn and was told I may be having reactions to my husbands sperm as in I may be allergic to it. This happened a few times after unprotected sex but eventually went away. Apparently I'm not allergic because after 5 months of trying we got pregnant and now I'm 13 weeks pregnant. Good luck
