Fred Flintstone Feet?!

Totally NOT COOL. Everything has been going super awesome and I've been lucky enough not to even really have had any symptoms throughout this whole pregnancy. Okay, well... fatigue, sore boobs, mild nausea, weight gain... but nothing serious or too uncomfortable.

So today, I'm in the home stretch. The first day of my third trimester! And what happens?! I get freaking FRED FLINSTONE FEET! My feet are swollen up and HUGE!

Everything I have read says just to put your feet up and get them elevated. Drink lots of water, limit salt intake, etc. I'm guessing I spend too much time either on my feet standing, or sitting on my ass, LOL. I really hope this isn't a daily occurance, because it's rather uncomfortable! Feels like my skin is gonna bust right open!

Yeah, not the greatest perk of being pregnant. I would call your Dr. monday morning to tell them that you ahve started to swell like you have.
Yep rest and elevation and leg/foot rubs helps push the fluid to where it needs to go. Do limit the salt, keep up the water. If you start to get headaches go straight to the ER, do not question it. Dont sit and wait and wonder on if you should or not...please.
The edema, can usually indicate something else, since your in your 3rd triemester thats when it starts to show its ugly self. Not trying to freak you out, just wanting you to be aware.
I have had to endure 3pregnancies that had that outcome...

Definitely call your doctor on Monday. Have you checked your BP lately? Swelling can be a warning sign of PreEclampsia.

My BP has been stable throughout the entire pregnancy... it's always 120/70. I just had an appt on Thursday, and my labs and urine have been normal.

thats just it, BP and urine can change really quick. Mine was normal in the morning appt, and flew sky high before evening. Pee was perfect and then I started to drop protein within that time. NOT SAYING it will happen to you, but thats how quickly it can change especially while being pregnant. Just please be careful, dont second guess on if you should goto the ER etc if you start to have headaches. Cant be to careful now can we?
How are the "Freddies" today?

Try diabetic socks....they are supposed to help the circulation in your feet? How....I'm not sure, but I did see them at Just a Buck recently, lol.
But if your legs and hands start puffing up, call the dr.

I had DH wrap an ace bandage around my feet and up to my knees on the bad days to help move the fluid out of my feet. Diabetic socks are great too but spendy.

Well, so far I haven't had any swelling since yesterday morning. I'm sure it won't be the last time it happens, though!
