Okay sorry I just needed to get that out! My belly  "popped" today...of course I still have that darn "muffin top" but my stomach has officially "popped"

And along with that I'm dealing with some insistent "stretching" pain in my lower abdomen which has been much more intense and persistant than ever before!

Okay my post really doesn't require responses but the board is kinda quiet tonight so I decided to share a little bit of my "well worth it" misery! Anybody else dealing with this?

Hope you feel better and that the pain isn't too bad. I've been lucky and haven't had any of that. The only time I ever get that "stretching" feeling is when I have been sitting too long and stand up too fast. So I just try not to do that.

Hang in there! I feel your pain- I have more pressure and stretching pangs, but not really pain per say. I will say it does start to get a little better...I noticed after my uterus grew past my belly button (normally happens around 20ish weeks or so), it got a lot more bearable and the pressure has subsided quite a bit. I think my biggest complaint right now is the stretching pain I tend to get in my right side- almost where I have my scars from my RNY- especially after I do a lot of standing or walking. It goes away after I rest, but it's just totally uncomfortable when I'm trying to get things done!

At 14 weeks?

Wow, if you think you're stretching NOW, brace yourself mama! Me too! I'm 22 weeks and had a tummy tuck 2 years ago. Talk about stretching! I need my skin to stretch and hope it does!

I've been here since 2002, I just like to pretend I am NEW!

We started taking our Childbirth Education classes last night and were told Abdominal pain during pregnancy is common. Most often it is a result of round ligament pain. Round ligament pain is due to normal changes that take place as your body is transformed by pregnancy. When this happens to me, which is quite often now I just sit and relax a bit or take a warm bath. Also drinking a lot of water helps. I usually can draw some sympathetic back rubs or foot lovins when in pain from DH LOL There is a ligament attaching the front or your uterus to your wall as well as a back one that attaches near the lower back and you will feel these more and more as the baby grows and stretches. I joined thebump.com and found quite a resource of information on the little aches and pains so it keeps me from calling the OB each and every little one LOL Good luck!
