It has been a while since I have been on here and posted, but now 9 months out from my first GB and 6 months out from my revision GB I am now excited, nervous, scared, and worried to say that I am 8 weeks pregnant! I have already seen my surgeon and had a doctors appointment and an ultrasound and the baby and I are doing fine....EXCEPT..... I can not eat anything! Nothing seems to stay down and everything I once enjoyed I can no longer take the horrible gagging that these foods seem to produce! I have talked to my surgeon and he says its all normal and he just wants me to focus on protein and fluids! I would focus on protein if I could actually keep anything down! So here I turn to you ladies.... any ideas, suggestions, things that have helped you! I have tried the crackers but oh my those hurt when they hit the pouch, and the surgeon also put me on Zofran for the nausea but of course that is not working....

any ideas?

Damn surgeons....
Have you tried EAS shakes? They are pretty watery. Also, it is very important that you get complex carbs and not just protien. Ketosis can cause brain damage in a fetus. If you can't keep anything solid down for carbs, try sipping cold orange juice. They even have a low-acid version that may help. Also, try cottage cheese and eating dry, plain cherrios.
Hope this helps, and feel better!

You can find EAS at Walmart, Target or a huge box of them at BJ's. They are the pre-mixed, silver containers. The EAS Myoplex has more carbs, fat & calories if that is what you are looking for. The OJ should help you out with carbs for now. If you dump, you can water it down a little.

sounds like Chelle gave you good ideas. Sorry you are so nauseated. My last pregnancy was like that pre gastric bypass and I was miserable. Hope things get better for you!
