4D Ultrasound done today!

Had another ultrasound done today because my OB was wanting to make sure our baby was growing okay due to my gastric bypass. I have lost about 5 pounds in the last two months so there was some conerns. Well, no concerns now! She weighed a whopping 3.2 pounds and measured in at 16 inches long and I'll be 30 weeks on Sunday! The ultrasound tech threw in some free 4D pictures. So here's Luciana Rose's beautiful lil face! I'm so in love! You'll only see half of her face though because we couldn't get her to take her hands off of her face, LOL. Every ultrasound picture we have she has her hands up on her face (and I have had 6 so far)! So I guess she likes to sleep like this.

Absolutely awesome! Congratulations! I soooooooooo can't wait to be far enough along to see my baby clearly!

That is SO amazing what technology can do these days! Wow!

How soon can they do a successful 4 D ultrasound like that? I'm only 11 weeks and can't wait to see this same thing for myself!

How far along were you when they were able to determine it was a girl?

I've had one ER visit, and 2 doc visits so far, and they've done ultrasounds each time due to my gastric bypass and my threatened miscarriage.  I'm crossing my fingers they'll be able to determine sex on my next appointment.  I'll be 14 weeks at that time.

is this wishful thinking?

I had my gender ultrasound at 19 weeks, 3 days but I was measuring at 20 weeks. Even then the Ultrasound Tech said it looked like a girl! From 20 weeks on I had dreams that she maybe wrong until I just had this ultrasound done for diagnostic reasons because I was loosing weight at 30 weeks. The same Ultrasound Tech did it again and she confirmed that it was indeed a girl as we could even see her labia this time more clearly. I know without a doubt in my heart now that we are having a girl. Here's the ultrasound confirming the "girl parts".  Ultrasound Tech labeled, "Still a Girl!!!" LOL! She had told us in 10 years she has never been wrong but she wanted to make sure since I was having dreams that it could have been a boy after all and we bought everything girly already!

Yes, I believe 14 weeks can be too soon. At that gestation the baby's gender parts can still look look like each other because those parts are still developing. I would want a definite answer so I waited until my 20 week (which I still had doubts..lol) especially if you plan on decorating the nursery or buying baby equipment. Also don't tell yourself, "Oh I'll just buy everything neutral!" I did that and ended up re buying a lot of things because I was more so wanting  "girly" items (pink, purple)  when I realized our baby was in fact a girl.

Aww I am getting excited to know what these babies are too! Not till med December though I think the picture is beautiful!

Oh my gosh, she is soooo cute already! I'll bet you can't wait to hold her and see her in person. I'm excited because I have my 4D ultrasound on Wednesday. The last time I went was at 19 weeks for the gender determination... and I'll be 27 weeks+ this time! So I can't wait to see how she's grown!!
