Baby kicks

I don't feel my baby kicking as much as I am supposed to.  The doctor doesn't seem too concerned because her heartbeat is always normal but I keep reading how i am supposed to feel at least 10 movement in 2 hours but I am lucky to feel 10 movements a day.  Could this be because of the surgery? Do and did any of you have this problem?

Is this your frist pregnancy? Where is your placenta located? If you have an anterior placenta you may not feel as much movement.

It could also just be your baby's personality. Some babies are very quiet/lazy in utero and are content to just lounge around. Some are litterally bouncing off the walls, non-stop movers.

As long as you're feeling some movement and the baby's heartbeat sounds good, I wouldn't worry.

My oldest did not move much at all ever. Even with my 3rd pregnancy last year I had a hard time feeling them unless I gave her sugar. Then she was hyper. My kids lay in my back though so it was harder to tell when they were just making little movements.

Thanks Y'al!  It is my first pregnancy so I just don't know what to expect.  I do believe the doctor said I was anterior during my last vagnial exam so that would make more sense.  I love getting peace of mind from the message boards!
