Still trying to decide on baby no. 2

Hubby really wants to have another one right away. I'm wanting to wait but I turned 40 in July and I know that I don't have a whole lot of waiting time. Jakob will be 7 mos on the 15th and I'm just not sure we can handle two this close together. I really want another and we still have 8 embryos left so I would be using my "younger eggs" if we do it in a year what do you guys think?

I have no advise to offer other than good luck! My oldest two were 27 months apart and it was the hardest yet most rewarding experience ever. God bless in whatever decision you all reach!

lol now I am not one to say much on this one as Hayvann will be a year old this month and I am pregnant with twins. I say have as many as you want When you want to!

I vote for doing it now and having them close together.  Even if you started now - assuming you got pg the first time out - they'd be a year and a half apart.   That's just me and my two cents, though...you have to do what feels right for both of you.

Good luck in whatever you decide.

I think close together might be easier, I know a few people that said having kids closer together was easier than further apart. After a few years, you start to forget! lol. My youngest is 4, and sometimes I feel like I'm starting all over. Plus you'll still most of the things you need. I say go for it! lol

I have lots of friends with babies close in age, and they all say that it's really not any more difficult with two than it is with one. The first couple of months are an adjustment, but if you can get your babies on the same schedule, life is a lot easier, apparently.

It is really up to you.  I have three that are close.  One just turned 3, Mal turns 2 in Jan, and Chris turns 1 next June.  They are all about 15 to 18 months apart.  It has been pretty easy.  My sister in law is doing the same thing.  All of hers are about 18 months apart as well.  It's not hard at all and they are the best of friends already.

I guess I'm the odd one out.  I never wanted my LO's to be very close together. I wanted to have at least a year or two to focus on just them. My DH on the other hand has wanted another one since Matthew was born.  I think I'm almost ready to start TTC again maybe in January.  I'd like Matthew to be close to being out of diapers or going to pre-k once a new little one gets here.  But, right now Matthew is so demanding and attached to me that I worry having another one will make him worse or feel abandoned.

But,  I say do what your heart says and if you think you could handle 2 close in age....then go for it!

Good luck in whatever you choose!

My advice would be do it now have them closer... My daughter was 25months  when I had my twins...I mean she is great with them but I almost wish I had gotten prego earlier but I was gonna have my surgery there fore I didnt... my boys are gonna be 6 months in 2 days and I already want another... but I think the hubby and I have an understanding about waiting until summer to try... We decided to have all the kids 2 years apart which is nice... So even if you planed them 2 years apart it's a good difference... ok re- reading this I think I just talked in circles due to lack of sleep... but I am sure you will get what I have to say...
