How do you stop the stress?
I stood on the scale today for the first time in forever. I have enough of it when I go to the OB's office. Today, I finally stood on my bathroom scale and I have reached a point where I thought, 10 months ago, I'd be screaming from the roof tops in delight.
But today, I'm not screaming in delight, I am giving myself a stress headache. I'm trying not to. Today I reached 101lbs in total weight loss. I am smaller today than I was when I started high school in 1990! (That makes me feel sooooooo old!)
I am 10 weeks 4 days pregnant with baby #5 (this is pregnancy #6, but I lost the one before this). I just want to hear that it's not something to stress over... that weight loss is okay, and this is not going to hurt my little one. I spend half my time worried that something has happened because of the misscarriage earlier. Usually I am a logical, clear thinking woman, but I am stressed and concerned. The hyperemesis I am sure is not helping whatsoever.
Gah.. Just need to hear some happy ending stories!

The weight loss is nothing to worry about. It's totally normal in the first trimester. Your little one is still the size of a grape and requires very little from you calorie-wise.You're not at your goal weight or underweight, so there are still planty of fat reserves your body can draw on at this point to build up all the extras the baby needs (placenta, extra blood supply, etc).
After 20 wks is when the baby starts laying down fat and your weight gain is actually beneficial to the baby.
I lost a bunch of weight the first trimester (~12 lbs total, so far I've gaIned back 4 of those lbs @24 wks, all in the last month).
