So, I'm finding it already difficult to find a way to get comfortable at night and I was wondering if anyone had any good ways they use at night to help them get more comfortable? I am restless throughout the night because i just CAN'T get comfortable and I'm finding myself falling asleep and cat napping a lot more during the days. I feel super tired throughout the day because I know I'm not getting enough rest, but I can't seem to find any tricks that are working?!!?

Lots of pillows.

I usually have one between my knees, one behind my back and towards the end of my last pregnancy, one under my belly.

They make maternity snuggle/support pillows, but I found a bunch of regular pillows worked better and were easier to "customize" to all my aches and pains.

My OB also OK'd Tylenol PM for nights when I was really sore and needed a good nights rest. It did make me  little groggy the next day, but I got plenty of sleep and felt physically rested and less sore the following day/

Maybe go get one of those extra firm, foam mattress toppers? They are good at absorbing pressure points. Also, try no to drink much after 6pm, will help alleviate bathroom trips. Good luck :)

Hey Kerri!! I am feeling ya on this one!!! I have been the same way lately with comfort at night. OMG its soo horrible..Now I am feeling my bones softening up and preparing my body to have this baby and OMG...worse pain ever. My hips, butt, and legs hurt soo bad and I feel like I have gotten ran over by a truck. No matter how much walking I have done or moving around or stretching I still feel like I was ran over. It hurts to even sit down on my butt cause my butt is soo tender.

I have no advice on what to try to get comfort because I am in same boat as you...and I will be watching this post for advice on how to get comfortable. I have found me sleeping during the day more than at night cause i did not sleep at night. Stinks cause I do not want to be up all night and sleeping all day. Of course I have heard from numerous of pregnant women that all this that we are feeling is soo normal.

I wake up about 20 times every night... it's like having sleep apnea all over again! LOL. One thing that has helped me is putting a pillow between my legs, and one beneath my boobs (to throw my arm across). I just spoke with my OB about sleep positions today because at the moment, I am most comfortable on my back, but I have gotten a lot of conflicting advice about that. She said "sleep whichever way you are able... even on your back." I'm naturally a stomach sleeper, but I HATE sleeping on my side!

I have a J shaped body pillow that curls around my front and between my knees and then one to prop and support my back. It lets me get some sleep, but I really only sleep about 4-5 hours a day now. Occasionally I can nap in the day (well, on my days off) but not very often and only for about an hour. My OB says it comes with the territory.

I have one of those J shaped pillows..they sell them at babies r us..I actually got so used to it my 1st pregnancy, I used it all the time!! I snugle with that and out another pillow under the other side of my back and I have been sleeping great!! The pillow is kind if pricey..I think I payed $60.00 and then another 20.00 for the pillow case..but worth it!!

I use a regular body pillow between my legs and just flip sides when I get up to pee (usually 3-4 times a night) but I too was told that it comes with being pregnant! My poor knees, hips and back are so sore and wake me up at the buttcrack of dawn...sigh oh well good practice for those early feedings right?
