Is there such thing as sleeping to much during pregnancy? Today I have not been able to keep my eyes open for much of anything. I woke up had toast for breakfast..and started watching Tv and fell back to sleep sitting up on the couch. Then I woke up and still felt like I did not sleep at all. Got up and legs were all shaky and ate lunch....Then was awake to be able to drink water after I ate for a lil bit. For some reason I fell asleep again watching Tv. My husband is like hunni your falling asleep again...Im like yeah I know as my eyes are closed..trying to keep them open.  He left for work at 630 and I just woke up 10 mins ago again. I slept the entire day. Mind you last night I could not sleep at all very good. I kept having nightmares and waking up to go pee. I prolly slept good after 5am this morning. Has anyone else been able to not sleep at night but have no problems sleeping all day long?

Yep, I agree sleep when you can. I am thinking of stopping work this week because I am so tired. I have a 4 year old too, so I can't sleep whenever. I only have 2 weeks until my csection, so I am trying to work the rest of the time, but I am extremely exhausted.

Although it is normal to be sleepy while pregnant because our bodies have a huge demand right now I would also check with your OB. I had more labs drawn at 25 weeks for a Glucose Tolerance test and at that time they also drew labs for my hemoglobin count and it was quite low. I had been complaining about being drowsy all of the time and this was the main reason. Since then I have felt better and my OB checked me again and my blood count had gone up almost 2 points with taking an extra iron tablet to my vitamin regimen I am already on. Ask your OB to do some simple blood work if you start to get concerned with it. It wouldn't hurt to know. =)

I have this problem also I have problems at night from itching like crazy don't know why or peeing all night or just cant sleep. I wake up in the morning and get my son ready for school and end up back in the bed because I cant take it. I know that I have a  anemia problem even with the iron pills. So maybe that's it for me. The father along you get the worse it gets so good luck!!

Please let your OB know that you have been itching so badly....If it isn't just dry skin, there are conditions that pregnant woman get that make them itch- and it would need monitored.  I hope you are better soon.  And as far as the main post- I definately agree to get your levels checked- I worked full time time with my pregnancies until the day before my delivery...and my c-sections.  I was tired but I was raising kids (teens and toddler) and keeping house-on top of being out of the house from 7-4:30 for work.  Good luck all.

Nope-I saw one woman who had the itching in her thighs.  So just bring it up when you see OB and insist to get your Blood work checked- if they arent interested contact you WLS Dr to have them order it.  Good luck.
