 Hi all,

I am 38 years old and scared to death. I have two kids (18 and 10) and I thought that I was done. I had an RNY in 03 and a Fleur di lis tummy tuck in March 09 (inverted T scar). I have NO idea how bad the stretching is going to be. I am not worried about ruining the TT< but the ripping of the muscle does. I am a director at a hospital and the CEO was the surgeon that actually did the TT, but he doesn't seem at all concerned. I am already getting stretching pains just from the uterus expanding.

Has anyone else here had a pregnancy after RNY/TT?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hi there.  It's taken me 2+ yrs to respond, but between being in the hospital for much of my pregnancy and after, two major surgeries since and a toddler and a full time job, I don't get a lot of free time.

So how did everything go for you? I thought that it would be nice to follow-up :)

Oh Wow! Me Me Me!!!

You and I have a lot in common. My RNY was 12/04, fleur-di-lis TT and Breast Lift was 06/08.

Now I am now 20 weeks pregnant and doing great. My two kids are 6.5 and 8 and this is a total surprise baby because I was on the pill.

If I eat the wrong foods (gassy types) my tummy will get so bloated that it gives me an idea of how it will be all the time later. It can be pretty scary! I'm just so glad it's gradual growth but it's still freaking me out to think of this tight, tight tummy in the months to come.

I use a wonderful group of midwives. There is one doctor there who they wanted me to start seeing as they were afraid I was  going to have to be considered "high risk". Today, I met wiht her and she said I'm not high risk at all compared to my obese pregnancies.

So far I've gained around 4 lbs (was 165 pre-pregnancy)

How are you feeling besides tight? I'll take some pictures tomorrow to show you my Bump! It's getting pretty bumpy but only because I accentuate it with cute clothes that are bump-hugging maternity ones. No baggy stuff here or else I wouldn't show at all.

You're not alone in this!

I've been here since 2002, I just like to pretend I am NEW!
