BOTTLES
Oh, man. I feel your pain! Choosing bottles was so hard for me ... its like going to Home Depot for a box of nails ... there are yards and yards of nails with all different specifics! We used to kinds of bottles with Lydia. When she was teeny tiny, we used the Medela ones because they fit easiest on the pump. Pumping directly into the bottle saves a lot of nutrients for your baby rather than transfering the milk from container to bottle. As she got older, we used Playtex Vent Air and are still using those at 14 moths, The seem to cut down on gas and tummy trouble. My advice? Buy one or two of the ones you want to try, and see how it goes ... Good Luck!
I preferred the Nuk bottles, They have a vent in the top of the nipple and when they feed, they keep their mouths open much further than most bottles (more like the breast). Tristan only used them, and we plan to use them for Keiran. Watch buying a whole bunch of anything because some babies don't like certain ones and won't use them.

With Max I used Evenflo Classic one. He liked them, was never gassy. What I hated about them was that the nipple ring had to be on tight or it would leak but the rings would crack after a while because of that.
With Sydnee I use Tommee Tippee ones. They work good with her. I like the wide opening, makes it easy to scope the formula into especially middle of the night. They are easy to clean. She is not gassy with them.
Bottle buying is really a trial and error since every baby is different. I would start with maybe one or two bottles of a couple different styles and go from there. Don't go by price, more expensive does not mean better.

Well my daughter would only drink out of one kind of nipple and that was the NUK ones. for a long time, I used the botttles from the pump and just use those nipples, now though she uses the full NUK bottle with the wide nipple. She couldn't drink out of the ones where the hole is in the front, that's why we had to stick with the NUK nipple because it comes out the side (where it curves). My suggestion, don't go bottle crazy until you know she will use. I was all set to use brown's but she couldn't drink out of those (even the premie nipples).
Good Luck!! This is one of those tuff task I think....

I got lucky and my daughter will drink out of anything! I started with the Drop Ins, then we picked up some Avent, we also have a Mam bottle. I have a puker and I have not noticed a difference in gas or puke with any of the bottles. I had a born free and a doc brown that I received as a gift, way to many parts to wash for me.
I know that is zero help! It is a matter of trial and error so what ever you buy just dont buy a lot of them.

We are due Christmas day with our first and felt overwhelmed by all that is out there! Having been a Nanny for several years, I have seen Dr Brown as the top choice but ultimately your baby will choose which one they want from what I hear. I have been told to get only 2 of whatever kind we may wanna use and see how they take to it and then go from there. Good luck!
