Mmmm question about Heartburn!!

 Ok I was just curious..since we have WLS do you still get HEARTBURN? Just came to my knowledge that us WLS ppl are not suppose to have so much acid in our small tummies. So therefore have any of you got HEARTBURN being pregnant? I have not ever experienced Heartburn before but I was just curious about this.

It's not uncommon to get heartburn in the third trimester especially. With baby getting so big, there's less room for your organs. It helped me to stop drinking anything about an hour before bed, and to sleep sitting up a little bit. Hope that helps! 

I use to get really bad heartburn/ acid reflux before my RNY, I am now experiencing a heartburn like feeling, but it is a different felling, more like an empty burn? I am taking zantac at night to help me sleep, but I did not have a problem with it before I got pregnant, but yes it is possible!

I have not had any heartburn at all this pregnancy. I hope I can make it through the next 8 weeks with out any.

I get it just about once a week or so and it just started about 2 to 3 weeks ago. I had GERD really bad before surgery and since I have been pretty good, but this past year before finding out I was preggo I was getting it off and on here and there, but I have to take a Pepcid about once a week for the past few weeks or so. It's not horrible, but it is kind of annoying. I'm hoping it doesnt get much worse throughout the rest of the pregnancy, but the rest is yet to come so we shall see.
