As most of you might know I was not preparing for a baby a few months ago and was told I lost a baby. Me and my hubby have decided to try for another baby.

I am seeing a doctor on monday on what to do physically to prepare myself.

EVERYONE in my family is against me due to all the other complications I have had before Weight loss.

I have regained 30 pounds back since surgery almost 2 years ago- and I am currently working on loosing that right now.

Any other tips or advise?

Start taking your prenatals now. An overwhelming majority of babies with spina bifida had mammas who didn't have enough folic acid during the early months of pregnancy. Getting a healthy start on your folic acid is key.

Get a blood test to check all your other levels.

Make sure you are up to date on your immunizations.

Get checked for Cystic Fibrosis. If you and your DH are both carriers then your baby has a greater probability of getting it.

Have fun!
