Meddeling Mother in Law!!!!

MIL came over today to watch Sage while we christmas shopped.  She came in and used the bathroom.  She came out and the convo went like this:

MIL-  "What was that I saw in you garbage can???"

Me- "Um what??"

MIL- "You know that thing in there...."

Me- "Um i dont know what?"

MIL- "Looks like a pregnancy test, I was going to pull it out and look at it but I didn't"

Me- "Um. it's an ovulation test."

MIL- "Ooooo Ok"

This just ****** me off.  Believe me there are a lot of worse mil's than her, but she is SO damn annoying sometimes.  Like honestly I don't even know how her and my husband have the same genes sometimes.  STAY out of my garbage can. WHYY would you even ask me if there was a pregnancy test in there let alone tell me you were going to take it out and look at it.  Like I am really upset about this.  Totally disrespectful if you ask me.  It's NONE of her business, and btw the test wasn't even viable unless you were looking for it!!!

WOW! That is so horrible! I would have been asking why she would want to touch something you peed on! Wow

LOL...OK...your MIL is a tad bit snoopy.  I'd have just flat out asked her why she was looking in my garbage.  Not in a confrontational manner...just a curious question. 

Not much you can do but make sure your trash is emptied - outside - before having her come babysit again.  Unfortunately, we don't get to pick our in-laws along with our spouses. 

HAHAH I would have said "well sh*t, it's a good thing you didn't come last week because there were 3 of them then!"
Really, who snoops through someones garbage then complains to them? Sounds like she needs a hobby.

 Oh wow girl I must say your MIL is just like Mine LOL. Seriously...she does not come around my house unless my husband asks her to come here for some reason. Maybe like twice a year since we have been together LOL. I cannot stand her and she does not like me. I am an outspoken person and she does not like how I talk to her. 

Well personally if she is going to talk to me like I am a child I will let her know that I am not her child and I will do things the way I want to. She still tries to run my husbands life..and he has got so that he hardly talks to his parents anymore because she will talk trash about me when I am not around. Nice huh. Well he wants us to so bad get along..LOL..however..No I am not going to let her run my life like she wants us to do this..and we should do that..instead of this..and we should budget our money better..and all this crap. Well you think that is bad.. When we told her that we were having a baby..she said well are you ready for that?? Excuse me? I am 31 yrs old and my husband is 36 no other children and you are asking if we are ready? WTF. Then she has the nerve to say last week hubby called to ask his mother if he could get help with something. And she says well You should of thought of that before you got your wife pregnant!!! 

What gets me is he has two older sisters in their 40s. They have kids and husbands and all of them in their households work. Where we just have his income and I stay home. She is constantly helping her daughters out with their kids and money issues..cause well their husbands are ******** and do not help them. So that makes it ok for her to help. But my husband is a man and should handle it on his own. The one daughter gets her Mortgage paid every month for her by her family. MUST BE NICE. When here we struggle and pay everything we have on our own but yet get *****ed at that we need to budget our money better LOL...whatever. I told my husband that I could careless if they ever see this grandchild of theres and I seriously do not want them coming to my baby shower anymore. I do not want nothing from his family and for it to be thrown in our faces. We hardly ever ever ask for anything at all period. But geezz if we did we get lectured like we are a bunch of kids or something. 

Then my husband decides to tell his mother how after this baby we are going to try again for another one. She has the nerve to say that I have to wait at least 2 years before we try for another one or we would have two kids in diapers. Who The F**K cares if I have two kids in diapers. She wont be buying them diapers. So what does it matter to her. Then she asks if we are going to stop having kids after two!!!! Like WTF. Just because her daughter cannot handle taking care of a  5 yr old and a 1 yr at 40 does not mean I cannot handle it. yeah I think that is flippin funny how his mother is always over to my Sister in laws..watching her two kids so she can clean a flippin house?? LOL..seriously who cannot clean their house around 2 kids??? I laughed so hard..that seems sooo hard to do. LOL. And she has to take her mother shopping with her to help with her kids in the stores...hilarious. I cannot wait to show this family how flippin talented I am with taking care of my own child without the help of them. Of course they will have no idea anyways cause they do not ever call us or ever come by. And they better not even think of trying to become buddy buddy with me after this lil girl is born cause I will tell them right to their faces that what are they doing here? What is it just because this is your sons child now you want to come around?? I dont think so! Get the F**K out!! They will have a rude awaking cause I do not play games of favoritism or anything like that. I do not care if my child has just one set of grandparents that are my parents only. I will be damned when my child notices how his family is and comes to me with questions..about them. I have went through it in my family and I will not put my child through that crap. 

Best of luck to ya..but hey Im right there with ya when it comes to my MIL..she is a piece of work and honestly I could careless what she has to say and I let her know. And thats why she does not like me. But to damn bad...I wont sit there and let her talk to me like that and not say nothing. She wants to be disrespectful then I can be disrespectful right back. 

It seems to be the plight of a good wife; dealing with the irrationally rude mother in law. Why would she snoop around in your trash? She got lucky with a bit of gossip this time, but uunder normal situations she would prob just find used kleenexes and dirt. Umm not worth digging through that in my opinion unless you are ... well .... obnoxious. I have an obnoxious mother in law myself so i feel your pain.
