Ok so....CD 1 was October 6th.....Clomid was days 3-7.....I haven't gotten a postitve OPK yet....my temp hasn't risen yet........I'm pretty sure I didn't miss O day.....we did an insemination on Sat, Mon and Tues......I told him again today not to come over tonight. Am I totally off??? My temp dropped a little today, but my temps are all over the place until I O then they are a little higher and all over the place. Am I wrong for not doing another insemination tonight??? I really don't want to miss it! I know that sperm can live for a few days and all that, I just am unsure!!!!

Thank you in advance!!!

Hmmm, the slight temp drop would make me wonder if O was on it's way, I think I would be extra careful about getting a good temp tomorrow morning (get a good sleep tonight!) and if it's up again I would take an OPK to see if you get a positive.

I am keeping everything crossed for you!

Thank you!!!! I was thinking it was on its way too. It'll be a slightly shorter night sleep because (like today) I have to be up at 5am, but I used to wake up at 5 every day to take my temp.

Not sure if this will help, but I only ever got a positive OPK at night... I tested both am and pm, and both times I only got it in the pm. They say to test only once a day, but I would have missed it if I followed that rule.

The last 2 months were light lines around 10-11am and fully positive in the evening and the next day at 10-11am again. My temp isn't up so I'm pretty sure I didn't miss it.

I am a late ovulator and had irregular periods. My cycles would range from 29-46 days, so I never knew when the heck I was ovulating. I used the First Response 20-Day OPK and monitored my cervical mucus. My basal temperature was way too random to be able to detect ovulation based on that. When my CM started getting really slippery like egg whites, that's how I knew I was about to O, and sure enough, I got a +OPK within a day or two.

The CM was there for a few days. The temp helps because once it's up, I know I O'd and it matches up with the OPK's usually.

You ought to invest (oh heck, what's there to invest?? LOL Mine was 24.99 on ebay! lol) in a saliva ovulation tester. It's reuseable and you can use it ANY time of day and if you're really obsessed......you can use it all day long! LOL They're the size of a tube of lipstick and they are VERY accurate......at least it was for me. But I can feel when I ovulate so I guess it's kind of cheating with me...lol And if you're the type that can't take birth control pills (or don't like the other BC methods out there), it's good for after pregnancy as well when you want to keep from conceiving.

Good luck!
