How far post-op were you when you got pregnant? How was your post-op pregnancy different from any pre-op pregnancies you've had? I am going in to talk to my surgeon about when it is ok to start trying. What questions should I ask?

Thanks!

This question has come up multiple times on the Pregnancy message boards. The doctor will most likely tell you not to get pregnant until you are atleast 12 months post-op, but 18 months is the absolute recommended period of time. With that said, many women have gotten pregnant before 12 months and went on to have healthy babies, but the risks are generally much higher.
