7 weeks and losing...
Nature does her best to teach us. The more we overeat, the harder she makes it for us to get close to the table.

You need more carbs not more protein. The goal is to keep your body out of ketosis during pregnancy, it's unhealthy for the baby. So trying to add more protein isn't what you need (unless you have been found to have low levels). Most woman need to add more carbs to their diets. However, depending on the length of time since your WL option it is common for some woman to lose weight---especially when they are new WLS patients. My first pregnancy I lost about 5 to 8 pounds in the first several weeks (before I knew I pregnant and then for 2 or 3 weeks after) My other pregnancies I gained weight steady throughout. Good luck..keep healthy and when in doubt see your dietitian.
