I've never been much for calorie counting, and so my weight only goes in spurts.  I'm 7week along now, found out at the beginning of 6 weeks.  Now that I know I'm pregnant, I'm trying to eat more and add in more protein.  Since doing this, I'm losing weight.  Is this something to fix?  My first OB appt is Nov 2nd...

Nature does her best to teach us. The more we overeat, the harder she makes it for us to get close to the table.

You need more carbs not more protein. The goal is to keep your body out of ketosis during pregnancy, it's unhealthy for the baby.  So trying to add more protein isn't what you need (unless you have been found to have low levels).  Most woman need to add more carbs to their diets.  However, depending on the length of time since your WL option it is common for some woman to lose weight---especially when they are new WLS patients.  My first pregnancy I lost about 5 to 8 pounds in the first several weeks (before I knew I pregnant and then for 2 or 3 weeks after)  My other pregnancies I gained weight steady throughout.  Good luck..keep healthy and when in doubt see your dietitian.
