That explains it.
My DH went to get his SA on Monday. The doctor just called me yesterday with the results and they aren't good.
Normal motility should be over 50%. My hubby's is 44%. He also has a high abnormal amount of sperm... 58% and normal is no more than 30%. He referred us to a Urologist so he can get infertility treatment on his end.
I thought this whole thing was all me and my absence of my period and possibly being anovulatory, but hearing these results scares me.
He feels bad but no matter what i know we can make it through this. We've been together over 8 years and there's nothing that we couldn't achieve together. I know this whole thing will bring us closer rather than further apart.

Eleni,
I just wanted to wish you luck.
I am very happy to hear that you have such a supportive husband. That he is willing to go to the doctor and that he 'feels bad'.
There are husbands out there who are not willing to do anything to help along the creation of a family. So it is very warming to hear that regardless of what is happening and no who needs treatment, that you are both in it together and supportive of each other.
Good luck, everything will work out great for y'all.

Did they tell you what % of the morphology of his were?
Don't give up yet!!!!!
Years ago, my husband had 2 SA's-his 1st SA came back and it said his morphology was 1%! Normal is 7-15%, poor is 4-7%, my husbands was 1%!!! His repeat test was .5%!!!!
I was also having issues with not ovulating.
We did 2 rounds of IVF w/ICSI--no luck. We just rode along over the years, 7 years later-3 days AFTER my husbands 40th birthday party, I found out I was pregnant!!! That was in 2007. Then when my daughter was 15 months old, I found out I was pregnant again!!!! I had my son in 2009, 25 months apart from my daughter! Never did I dream I would have to have a tubal to "shut" the system down!
There is hope!
Debbie

Not only was my husband's motility very low, but he also had a low sperm count. He had kidney disease and it was basically filtering all of the protein in his body out through his urine. With no protein, you can't make sperm! He was told he'd have to have chemo for this kidney disease, so we froze some of his swimmers with hope that we might be able to do IVF someday since chemo makes you sterile.
In the meantime, I put him on a healthier diet and got a second opinion a few months later before we went forward with chemo. Well, we found out that his kidney disease was in remission!!! It was a bad time for us to start trying, so we waited about a year... and got pregnant on the first shot.
So don't give up hope!

Abnormal Forms and Morphology are the same thing. I believe you are reading the numbers for that piece incorrectly. Normal is above 30% normal forms on a WHO standard. On Strict Kruger, 14% or higher is normal. I am guessing 58% abnormal is on the WHO scale, making normal forms 42% and NOT a male fertility issue. I would love for my husband to have 42% normal forms. He is 5% on the Kruger.
His motility is little low and most likely can be helped by the urologist. However, please know that many, many couples have been successful with motility that low or lower. It may take an IUI to get the best forward moving swimmers, but definitely nothing insurmountable.
Good luck.
