BABY #2??

im scheduled for surgery 10/28
hubby and i would like to have baby #2 in about 2 years.
im just afraid im going to regain all of my weight and all of the stuff that im dealing with now is going to come back ( sleep apnea, pcos, gerd, etc)
how much weight did you all gain during pregnancy?
is it hard to get the wait off after pregnancy?

I have had 2 post op babies!  I had RNY in 2004.  I had baby in 2007, she was 6 pds, 13oz, I gained 14 pounds.  I had another baby in 2009, he was 7 pds, 6oz, I gained 2 pounds! 

After babies, biggest things is-you have to to get back on the eating track of watching what you are eating because when you are pregnant you can get away with eating more and not gaining!

I had a different surgery, but I'm 6 months along and I've only gained 4 pounds so far. I probably wouldn't have gained anything at this point, except I've been eating like CRAP. LOL!

Ok I need to provide another perspective just to show you it does vary. I have been on this board for the last couple of months and there are a lot of people that are saying they only gained a couple of pounds. I am here to tell you at 30 weeks and 18 months out from surgery I am up 22 pounds. I have felt extremely depressed by this especially since everyone else on this board seems to be gaining very little to nothing at all. I can't speak to how fast it is going to come off since I am not at that point. What I can say is that your question is not uncommon. I have seen it asked several times and no one has from what I can see answered it. I really wish someone would because like I said I am sick over this 22 pounds I am up already with 10 more weeks left in this pregnancy.

Aww honey please don't fret over this. When I was pregnant with Tristan (7 months post op and not at goal, obviously) I started out at 325. I dropped to 308 while pregnant but in my end of second/third trimester, I ended up at 342. So technically I gained 34 pounds!

I walked out of the hospital at 322 though. Don't worry so much about it now. Worry about it after the baby is out. Everyone's pregnancy is different and everyone looses/gains weight differently.

Thanks so much impulseisbeauty. I will try and not get too down about it. I worry most about after the baby  comes out. I was almost at goal I only had 20 more pounds to go pre-pregnancy. So I am hoping I didn't blow it for myself.
