Or I guess I should have entitled this "non" smoking update!!! :) Hubby and I successfully completed 1 full week and as of today we are 9 days totally smoke free. Hubby has actually stopped taking the Chantix as of Saturday also. We both went to my aunt's house on Saturday and people were sitting around having a few beers and smoking and I was so proud of the both of us because neither one of us even asked for a hit of a cigarette. It's definitely not easy and I just about every day still have the urge, but we've both restrained and are so happy to be going down this right way path together.
To those out there still trying to quit- hang in there and remember you can do anything you put your mind to!!! :)

Thanks girls!! So far it's thumbs up and smooth sailing...just staying on top of my cravings is the most important part...and I've already saved a bundle...we figured it out and we were spending roughly 32 dollars a week on a carton of cigarettes just for my husband and when I was smoking with him it would be another 2 additional cartons a month- giving us a total of almost 200 a month we were spending on cigarettes alone! It's crazy to think of that cost and knowing that we can do it together has made it so much easier!! :)
You go girl! You're doing great. Another few weeks and hopefully the cravings will be almost gone.
Remember that 2nd hand smoke isn't any better for you than smoking it yourself...so try to avoid sitting directly in a room w/a bunch of smokers...or sit away a littlte...do what you can w/o offending your family.
With all that money you're saving you'll get that bed you wanted for your little one in no time.
