Afraid & Confused
Thought getting pregnant this early out isn't the best thing for you, on a few levels - it can slow down or limit your window of weight loss after the WLS surgery; and it can put you at risk for having low vit/mineral levels (thus the urgings for frequent lab testings) - overall...your stomach and your uterus are not connected. The baby will very likely get everything he/she needs nutritionally (though it's very important NOT to be in ketosis...eat some healthy carbs!); you on the other hand, can become nutritional deficient.
I would not worry so much about the affecs to the baby of the WLS, as long as your drs are aware of it and following up on your vit levels so they can tell you what to increase/decrease.
I hope the cramping leaves soon and the spotting was a one time thing so that you can get on with enjoying your pregnancy. As high as your numbers are going, I'd say things are looking good right now.

Thanks Holly! I do have a great PCP who will be checking my levels every 2 months.
