Latest appt.--Question for you gals....
Had a dr's appt Friday, Oct 8th. He did the strep B swab. Not so bad... But when do you get the results? Or will I not find out until delivery? I suppose each doctor is different.
Also, he used his hands and was really pushing around down where the baby's head is. After feeling around for awhile, he said he's thinking around Nov. 1st for me--(my due date is Nov 8th). Can he really tell something like that by just feeling? Since he did that, I kind of feel this grinding in my pelvic bone area. Real pleasant... anyone else have anything like this?
Thanks,
Kina

They will most likely tell you at your next appointment, if you make it that far. If not, they will let you know at the hospital when you go it. Normally they do not call for it. I think they can tell somewhat when you will go in delivery, but for the most part I think it is a guess, just like the due date being a guess of when you will have the baby (although that is more of a scientific guess)
Wow Kina! You are getting so close. You must be soooooooo excited! They'll prob talk to you about the results at your next appt. Just be sure to ask about it. They might forget to tell you that it's negative, but I am SURE they would tell you if it was positive.
I would guess that your doc is going by the position of the baby, but that's just a guess. It always made me laugh when my doc would push on my belly and talk about what she was feeling. I would try it myself and feel nothing specific, but I guess that's what they went to medical school for
Can't wait to hear that you've had your little one. I am so excited for you!
