Should I be worried or call the OB?
Hi everyone! I am on here reading Daily and I trust all of your opinions and comments so I am coming here before I FREEK out! lol
This is our first pregnancy PERIOD and so I have NO clue when it comes to concerns and when to call the OB.
Well we are 22 weeks this week and I have been feeling my baby girl moving and kicking but today it hasnt been as much, just a few movements this morning. Should I contact the OB b/c I know this is around the time that I should start feeling her move (MORE) but with her not being as active or me not feeling her as active has me a lil worried.
PLEASE help!!
Thanks in advance!!
Susie Q and Hannah Grace too!

What I would do, and this is what your OB's office is probably going to tell you to do is go get a big glass of ice water and drink it and go lay down on your left side and RELAX!!!! Now what you need to do is start counting kicks! If you count at least (I think it is 4 in the next hour), you should be fine. If you don't feel baby after that hour, or if you don't feel at least several in that hour, I would definately call the dr.
Of course, if you are still worrried, I would definately call OB!

This happened to me a week ago (so... just about at the same week that you're at right now!) I was kind of worried because my baby usually is really active, especially after eating and drinking. And then, for a couple of days, I felt nothing. Even after drinking juice and laying totally still for an hour, lol.
Well, as it turns out, babies go through lazy periods just like we do.
They're doing a lot of growing right now, so I guess it makes sense for them to take some down time, lol. Don't freak out just yet. Wait a couple of days and see if she starts becoming a little more active. Chances are, she will!

If it would make you feel better--call! No sense worrying, that's not goof for your baby--or you!
But, just my two cents, they don't have you start counting movements until about 30 weeks for a reason. At 22 weeks, they're just not regular enough.
I would notice movement pretty often, then a day would go by with almost none. I would freak out, but used my fetal heart doppler that I rent and it would really ease my mind to hear a nice strong heartbeat. But after a day of little or no feeling of movement, it seemed like he'd really have a growth spurt. So, maybe your baby is just resting up to sprout out.
Best wishes,
Kina

I have had this issue also..I started feeling my baby move around at 13 weeks along! Which is not something that normally everyone would feel that early. But I have and it was here and there but then when I was 16 weeks started more and now almost 20 weeks I feel it less. The baby does move around and sometimes you cannot feel it like you would have before. I was told that does not matter because you do not have to start counting baby kicks and movements until you are 28 weeks along. If you start to get worried then and are not feeling baby move at least 10 times in an hour then be worried and then id be calling Ob. That is what the home nurse just told me the other day when she was here. She said not to worry right now.
