Hi girls! How have things been going? Just got caught up on some reading, but I am sure I missed something. I think I got most of the personals to those that posted last time. Is there any newbies or lurkers out there that want to introduce themselves or get added to our list??

Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

Hi! Well, I took my 7 day OPK tests, O'ed on Day 20 or 22 (both days were +) so we made sure to BD on both days. I posted a topic titled "A Few Things" where I said what I am doing this month. Hubby is getting an SA (semen analysis) on the 11th and I am switching my Obgyn and have an appt. for the 18th. I am hoping the new doctor can give me some insight as to why I am not getting my periods every month and maybe discuss Clomid if I end up not conceiving in the next few months.

AF is due next Thursday the 14th. I have no symptoms whatsoever of anything (aside from my lower back hurting big time for whatever reason). Not getting my hopes up this time since I realize it's easier to wait for AF than wait for a +...

Hope you're doing well :-)

I went to the doctor about some pain I was having in my left side and they sent me to get a CT scan, but the tech did not want me to do the scan after she asked me if I could be preggers and I responded yes.  I'm in the 2ww and even though they said it was my choice to have the scan, I chose not to, just to be safe.  I have to go back next Thursday and they will give me a blood pregnancy test and if I'm pregnant, they of course will not do the scan, but if I'm not, they will proceed and hopefully see what is causing my pain.  I am not at all worried about anything, just leaving it all to God, but I feel like I made the right decision to wait till next week to possibly have the scan. 
I hope everyone has good luck ttc this month :-)

My hubby and I have been TTC since Sept. Now we're just at the 2WW. One more week to go! Send me some gooooooood vibes please ladies!:)

TTC#2 (currently in the 2ww) of this cycle, been off bcp for 3 cycles!
First dd was prior to bypass...and I needed one cycle of clonus to get pregnant...my cycles are regular now that I am at normal rate!

I'm only going to try for 3-4 months on our own before I get my obgyn involved....I'm 35 and I don't want too much more time between kids (my dd is almost 7)...

This cycle was so weird. I started spotting brown 10,11&12DPO. Thought it was probably implantation bleeding considering I've been tracking my cycles through FF for over a year and my LP is usually right on. But on the 13th day it got a little heavier and was red (but was still pretty light), same the next day. Then spotting again for a day. Took a HPT on Wednesday for fun and it was negative. So now I guess I'm on CD6. I am hoping for an earlier O this month (if you call O'ing on CD25 early. But let me tell you that's a hell of a lot better than O'ing on CD45+). I'm thinking the short LP this month has to do with the Vitex. But *****ally knows eh. Well good luck to everyone else!

Hi! You can add me to your list. My name is Brandi, I've been married for almost 5 years (Friday is our 5 year anniversary). I had RNY September 2009 and have been below goal and maintaining since August, so my surgeon gave me his blessing to start TTC. I'm not really sure what to expect. I did not get periods pre-op nor did I ever get pregnant, so I'm not sure if I will have problems or not. I look forward to "meeting" all of you!
