Baby "bump" under excess skin (above pelvic bone)

Quick question....I have recently noticed that I have a very hard "bump" about the size of what would be a "normal" early "baby bump" where if I had been able to have my excess skin removed would be approximately my navel area. I was well over 400lbs had my RNY in Dec of 2004 and am down to 242lbs I haven't been fortunate enough to do a body lift, ect...

Anyway is this normal? Does anyone else have this? Is this my uterues or my "baby bump" or...? I know this probably sounds really un-informed and silly but I really am worried and curious at the same time...worried maybe it isn't normal. I am 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant and this is my first pregnancy....

Also I have been having quite a bit of stomach "tightness" and wonder if this is normal....

So, you have a hard bump underneath some left-over flab? This is normal, most people start showing at 11 weeks. Not sure exactly what the question was, though.

According to my What to Expect book, the end of the 3rd month is when you should start to feel the tip of your uterus, about an inch under your bellybutton.
