Eating troubles/guilt?

Okay, so I feel terrible because I know I'm not eating the way I should as a post-op RNY patient. Beef is pretty much out because I can taste the blood/iron in it. Chicken and turkey are okay, but the turkey burgers I use to love are not too spectacular now. Tuna is pretty yummy still, but obviously I have to limit that to 2-3 times a week.

The only things that I seem to crave/want are things I know aren't the best choice. Carbs are really what I'm wanting right now. Not like a loaf of white bread or anything, but still.

Am I doing damage? Did anyone else go through this?

I go through this every day! I actually grab a Bean Burrito or pintos and cheese that way I am getting a protein with the carb. Might want to try it.

Yep. I ate more carbs when I was pregnant. And I still am eating quite a few because I am hungry ALL THE TIME with breastfeeding. You do need carbs when you're pregnant. At least 100 grams a day. That was hard for me to adjust to not feeling guilty for eating carbs after such a high protein diet for so long. My problem is going to be going back to a low carb diet after I am done bfing.

P.S. Try for complex carbs!
