this is for anyone who had RNY.......I was just wondering what is the soonest you got pregnant after having your RNY and did you have any complications with your pregnancy due to getting pregnant after WLS?

I got pregnant a year and a half after surgery and lost that one. There were other things going on with that. I got pregnant again one week after my 2 year mark. Just delivered a healthy little boy Tuesday am. I didn't really have any new complications related to surgery.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

I was NOT trying...I got pregnant this past july..I will be 2 yers out Nov 5th..I had JUST had my panni removed in may. I had a terrible time trying to ahve my 1st..took me 3 years with IUI's and this one..BAM! SURPRISE!! My biggest issue is the eating..I ahve had that issue since the surgery and I do not eat much and this has been difficult knowing that I am not getting enough in for the baby, let alone me. So I am back to shakes! Good Luck!

Got pregnant 7 months post op and miscarried. Got pregnant again 13 months post op and have a beautiful little girl. I didn't have any complications due to the WLS, all of mine were just normal pregnancy complications. I don't know how far out you are, but I really recommend waiting AT LEAST a year.

I got pregnant 6 months post op, but by no means was this intentional. So far so good and I'm almost 19 weeks. No complications and a healthy mom. I just make sure I take all my viatimins and get in enough calories in to keep baby growing...Uneventful pregnancy really :) Let's hope it stays that way

18 months post-op.  No complications due to WLS.  It is recommended to wait 12-24 months after RNY before trying to conceive.

I'm not pregnant yet but we have been TTC since June, which was 24 months post-op for me.

I am 2.5 years out and plan on trying TTC this June, which will make me 3 years and 3 months out.  Hopefully I won't have any issues.  I'm on here too trying to plan and prepare.

I'm 10months post op and 6-7weeks pregnant. We weren't trying, but crazy things happen when you husband has been gone 9 months on a deployment and is only home for 2 weeks. lol No problems yet.
