14W 2D -Could the doc be wrong?
Of course there is a chance the doc is wrong, it's still early BUT... I agree with your doctor... there does appear to be "boy bits" in that picture (it could also be a bad picture/ part of the cord).
You can always post your picture on http://www.in-gender.com The people over there are "experts" on analyzing early u/s pictures.
((hugs)) I'm so happy to hear your baby is alive and well!

alright so, this isnt science but it's been accurate for me and all of my friends and cousins so far.

Your US says you are 31, you are 14 weeks along. Did you concieve in June or July? If it was June, likely a girl, if it was July likely a boy.
May sound hokey but like I said for all of my friends and cousins, as well as myself it was accurate.

I conceived July 12th....
Funny, cause some of the charts said boy and some said girl...
For now, I'm going to start thinking of boy names.
But I won't make it definitive until my next ultrasound towards the end of the month. That will give the baby a few more weeks to grow and for things to be a little more accurate.
Just the idea of the doc saying "probably a boy" still gives me hope ;-)

I can't tell ANYTHING from that picture! Of course, I'm no doctor. But I thought 14 weeks was early to tell the sex.
For what it's worth, almost EVERY old wives tale and Chinese chart or whatever, was wrong in predicting my baby's sex. They all predicted girl (which I really wanted). But it's definately a boy from the sono pics. (of course my husband is thrilled)
I know how you feel...it's okay to be upset about the sex. I was. I REALLY wanted a girl. This is the only child I will have. My husband really wanted a boy since he already has three grown daughters and swore he'd never have that boy! So, for the baby's sake, a boy is the best... Maybe I'll get over it one day....
Everyone says we'll fall in love with them as soon as they are born. I'm sure they're right. That, or I'm going to dress him like a girl for the first 6 months or so, just to get it out of my system. LOL (I told my husband that and I thought he was going to have a stroke! LOL) Don't worry...whatever you have, as long as it's healthy, right?
Best wishes,
Kina

Kina,
Thank you for the kind words.
I do think those old wives tales are fun to listen to but rarely correct.
I can definitely understand that a boy would be ideal for your husband...and at the same time some of us girls want little girls so we can dress them up and all that fun stuff.
For me, I see it as a selfish thing, but I want to right every wrong my mother (and father) did to me as a child. I can't say the same for my son since I wasn't my brother and no idea what he went through. But I know what I went through and I would never do that to my kids and I want that little girl...I guess in some ways so I can have a 2nd chance in life and enjoy it.
But like you said, I will be happy either way. I think a little boy would be adorable. I could see my son showing him the ropes...legos, dirt, bike riding. He would be so protective. Even if it was a girl, I'd probably get a tom-boy because my son would still show her legos, dirt, and stuff :-)
I am definitely going to wait until my 18-20 week appt and see what they say then. For now, I'm going to hold back the water works...no sense in getting upset until I know for sure. But like we say, I will love my baby regardless. I am just so excited to be having one in the first place :-)
Thanks again Kina!!
Good luck with your precious one. He will have you wrapped around his finger the moment you meet!!!
Hugs,
Jessica
