On our way to a Smoke FREE home! :)
Congrats to you as well!!! That's awesome and I'm going to do everything I possibly can to remain in the smoke free boat! My mom and dad both decided this year that they wanted to quit and they both started Chantix at the end of April and both have remained smoke free now for over 5 months. My dad was a big smoke just like my husband was, so it's a relief knowing they've quit and we're on that road as well. Thanks so much!! :)
Good for you! I hope to god you and your husband keep it up so your precious little one won't have to deal with prematurely losing a parent. I've lost 2 grandparents, and my father-in-law to lung cancer. Now my mother-in-law has it (she never quit even after watching her husband waste away) and she is having surgery on Monday to remove the masses. My husband is 36, but he's absolutely beside himself with grief at the thought of neither of his parents ever knowing his child.

Thank you! I'm sorry to hear about the way lung cancer has infiltrated your families. It's a nasty habit that I sure wish I hadn't picked up to begin with, but God willing I will not fall back in this journey. I can completely understand where your hubby is coming from and feeling those thoughts and terrors. I think that's another big part of it...my husband is 31 and the girls are 10, 9 and 7 right now and I would really love to see as many years with them growing up as we possibly can. My mom and dad quit and his parents don't smoke, so it's going to be much easier at family gatherings up home in Pa once we get moved up there next year :) Now it's working on my grandfather when I get home and it will be a much less smokier and smelly place all around :)
