Sage rolled off the couch, i feel horrible.  She cried for a second then was fine, but i was only a few feet away (cleaning up baby barf) off the couch, and plop. down she went.  ughhhhhhh

My son fell head first off the bed, (higher off the ground than usual).
To this day I still feel horrible (he's 5) and he doesn't remember a thing...

thanks ladies, I felt like i needed to tell on myself lol.  my mom always tells me "all 3 of you fell of the bed/couch" and I always thought, I will never let my kid fall off the couch.

when my mom had me 23 years ago the lady in the hospital room next to her dropped her kid on the floor the day the kid was born.  it was her 8th child and she was apparently un phased.  eeekk

I guess they're pretty tough!! I'm sure we'll all do something like that at some point.

Reading your last comment about the lady dropping her baby in the hospital makes me think...My doctor will let my husband "deliver" our baby boy if he wants. All I can think about is him dropping that slippery bundle on the floor!!! YIKES

Anyway, glad to hear Sage is no worse for the wear!

Anushka was 13 days old on Tuesday.......Tuesday nite the same thing happened to us.  I was getting ready to prop her higher to feed her.....(she has acid reflux). 

I called the ped number in a horrible panic and the dr didnt seem too concerned.  Went to see our ped the next day and started crying because I thought I was a horrible mother.  She patted me on the back, said I looked exhausted and then told me to put it behind me and move forward.  The baby was perfectly fine.

Scary though, I can totally relate

ok...when abby was 6 months old I was holding her and she whipped back her body adn I DROPPED her..and as luck would NOT have it, she fell head 1st right on the wood inbetween the 2 carpeted rooms..off to the ER and it turned out she had a small closed head fracture...poor thinkg had to have a CAT scan..social services ?ed me...but she is 6 now and FINE!! We laugh about it now!!

Thats true about dropping all the kids. At least for me. I had all 3 fall off the couch or when I was about to put them on the floor plop they fell. Its crazy but mine all seem fine. It never feels good but Sage will be fine! You are an awesome momma!
