I am gaining too fast!!
Well, I guess the first thing you should do is take a look at your diet, right? If you have a tendency to gravitate toward carb-laden, full-fat foods, maybe take it down a notch and go for protein, veggies, and fruits. That's pretty much all you can do! Just do your best and make the best nutritional choices for you and your baby.

I completely understand. I haven't worked out one day since MAY!!! LOL. I went from working out 5 days a week and training for 5k's to zilch. I get the dizzies really easily. I just go with my hubby for walks in the evening, but don't even break a sweat, usually. I figure something is better than nothing!

I have no idea but Id say start journaling your food choices. I guess I am lucky cause I have not gained a pound yet and im 18 weeks. Of course My ob doesnt want me to gain but 15lbs anyways..so I am doing good as far as that goes. I do think though that it doesnt matter what you eat I just think some women gain more weight than they want that is not controllable during pregnancy. Best of luck to ya. I also think that you may not keep gaining..and you might slow down.
I am 16 weeks and I gained 8lbs. I fele the same way. This is my 3rd baby. My first I gained 10lbs and 2nd I gained almost 30 (also due to a lot of water weight). This time, I feel like I am going to gain 50! I also know that my hips are growing. I was wearing size 6 before pregnancy, and now my size 8 are too tight.

I LOVE MY PREEMIES!
This is my fourth and I didn't gain like this with any of them, my first I didn't gain at all, I was soo sick and lost alot and I gained back what I lost, the second one I gained 13 pounds and the last one I gained like 20. My ob had originally wanted me to gain 30 the entire pregnancy because I was considered underweight. Now he wants me to stop....I wish he would make up his mind. But something that I am noticing with this one, I am already retaining water in my legs. I asked him if I should be worried and he didn't seem worried at all. So I don't know.
I am either retaining water in my legs or gaining weight in my legs! My legs are heavier. They were with my 2nd as well. I am prone to high blood pressure so I was not sure if it was PIH starting or if I was just retaining fluid or gaining weight in my legs. But I was the same way, the first 2 I didn't gain much. Especially my first, I couldn't gain no matter how much I ate. I remember my 7 month apt and my OB said I had only gained 7lbs. I gained 10 total. My son was 4lbs and born at 37 weeks. Nobody knows why. This one, I am gaining so fast. I am so scared the weight will stick and my eating will be bad after the baby. Have you heard from anyone that already gave birth if they had trouble going back to eating "normal".

I was supposed to keep my weight gain under 30 lbs, but am sitting at 40 lbs gained now! My OB took me off exercise as soon as I found out I was pg, due to 2 miscarriages last year. Then I went on bed rest at 29 weeks due to placenta previa and contractions ... that is what really made me gain, I walk a LOT at work and it helps keep me fit. I am really bummed about how hard I will have to work to get this off after baby girl comes on Tuesday, but at least I have my sleeve to help me out. I have had raging problems with the carb monster this pg, too, that I didn't have with my son ... DH says it is because our girl is craving "sugar, spice, and everything nice." Lol.
I'm almost 23 weeks and I've only gained 9 lbs and I've been worried that isn't enough!
I feel like I've been eating a ton, mostly carbs, but I'm very active at work so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.
Start journaling your food and while I know you can't exercise much, even getting out of the house a few times a week and walking outside or around a store is better than nothing.
But, you know, if your doctor isn't worried about it, then I'm sure you're fine! Just enjoy your pregnancy and once the kiddo is here, worry about losing the weight then. It isn't the end of the world, gaining a few pounds - and from what I've heard, when you've had RNY, after pregnancy the weight will just fall off as long as you go back to the "basics".
