high fever
my 10 month old for the past couple of days has had a fever on and off, played like normal, but today he was super hot, sleeping alot and not too hungry, so towards the evening he threw up his milk before bedtime and i took his fever and it was 104.7 omg...........i gave tylenol suppository 120mg and put a cold cloth on his forehead about 30 mins later it was 104...ok better then shortly after it was 105!!! i called the ped and asked should i go to er, she said no, alternate tylenol n motrin, wipe him down with cool water and leave him in a diaper.........i just gave him motrin and some water he is asleep in my arms.....no sleep for me tonight i wont take my eyes off him!
i am taking him to see his dr first thing in the morning!! as per her request.

My daughter had a point when she would spike a 105 temp. All you really can do, if they are still drinking fluids is rotate back and forth with the Tylenol and Motrin. It could be a bad virus that is going around. Both my kids had it where they spike very high fevers for between 4 and 5 days. Nausea and vomiting was only part of it. It also has an upper resp. infection and pink eye. It is just a very terrible thing! Just make sure as soon as that fever breaks, give him fluids! They won't stay down unless the fever subsides. I used Popsicles as well. I just kept giving them a new one and I even allowed slushies. Hope he feels better.
My oldest always had fever like that. It was scary for sure. Yet that combo is what always worked and after a few days he would go back to normal. No clue as to what he had. They say virus when thats all thats going on is fever. I would say it scared me too not taking him to the hospital but sitting there all night or all day would just have exposed him to something he could have gotten. At least with fever it will go away and by then he will be feeling great and as a mom you will feeling WHAT HAPPENED? LOL

Well, you stopped me from putting my post about Jakob's 101.5 temp this weekend LOL! I was worried sick because his stays a little low around 98.2 so I was a little concerned the doc of course blew it off and said watch him and give him Tylenol which worked, I was still worried though. after two days he started having nasal congestion so I assume its a cold he's getting into. It is also allergy season so he could have those too, he hasn't been tested yet. Anyway, just wanted to swap temp stories and yours definitely trumps mine! Hope he keeps getting better.
