Anyone know of a good book that helps RNY patients eat right after surgery to ensure a healthy pregnancy?
Not sure that such a specific book exists. Have you contacted your surgeon?
They can get you in contact with a nutritionist who can give you basic guidlines for eating while pregnant.
Also, some OB's and MW's can refer you to a nutritionist who may have post-WLS pregnancy experience.
Goodluck.
The nutritonist I visited told me 100g of protein, 100g of carbs 100oz of water. 1500-1800 calories a day. She also has me eating something every 2 hours, even if its just crackers and cheese. She mostly has experience with RNY ladies, since it's so common, but she felt it would also work for my VSG and so far, so good.
