Anushka made her arrival almost two weeks ago.....so hard to believe.  I wish I had time to post my birth story, but unfortunately I just have a couple of minutes.

It's been an eventful two weeks.......had everyone around the frst five days of her life, then it fell apart.  My mother had a huge fight with my bf and just left us alone.  So, it's been just the three of us and he is always gone with work or school, so I have been dealing alone.  I'm not doing to bad just really tired.

The baby is thriving.......I had to take her yesterday to the Urgent Car clinic because of congestion.  She wouldn't sleep anywhere but on our chests....I was trying to fore her into her bassinet, but I guess that was a bad mom mistake after the dr looked at her.  She has the beginnings of reflux........she just wanted to be propped up to sleep.

The dr said no meds until 2 months old.....and to stick with the Enfamil formula unless things gets worse.  Other than that she is doing great.  She is gaining weight like they would expect and her eyes and movements are great!

I am still bleeding, so I am nervous about that.  Of course, feeling overwhelmed, but I can not remember what life was like without her.  I cry every time I watch her sleep.......my emotions are still in over drive..........

I just wanted to give everyone an update.....I promise to post my birth story when I have more time.

PS.....I'll post pics if someone can tell me how.......

Sounds rough but the first 3 months of Hayvanns life I felt I never slept. It gets better. By 3 months she slept through the night. I bled with my oldest for 10 weeks which was no fun so you should be alright. If you are worried I say get checked out and make sure all is well. I hope you get some well deserved rest. I had to tell my husband that every weekend I needed a little alone time in my room and to take a nap and that was wonderful! Just a suggestion. Cause after I started that my emotions were not so much either. I think it was exhaustion! I hope to see pics soon. Honestly I posted pics once but i dont know how to do it again! LOL I know lots of people know though!

Hey Sandy! Congrats on the arrival of your long awaited little girl and so happy to hear she is doing pretty well! Sorry to hear you're having a rough time, but try to hang in there. As for posting pictures...if you to the help section it will help you, but I found out that if you upload a picture and click on it and choose copy then all you have to do is click paste in your message post and it should work. Hopefully that helps! :) That's the way I found on here and learned for myself so I hope the directions are easy to follow. Best of luck...cant wait to see her darling pics!

A few weeks of minor bleeding is normal, I think mine lasted 3 weeks or so.
I'm a littlle surprised they won't give her reflux meds yet, I think Rowan started them around 4 weeks old. Use a crib wedge and try to keep her pretty upright 30 minutes after feeding (I know it is exhausting). It can also help to find a way to hold her during nursing/feeding that keeps her a little more upright.

Banded 03/22/06  276/261/184 (highest/surgery/lowest)

Sleeved 07/11/2013  228/165 (surgery/current) (111lbs lost)

Mom to two of the cutest boys on earth.

Tristan had GERD and i didn't want him on meds if I could help it. He slept upright for the first six months of his life. He slept in his car seat and in this cradle thing that kept him propped up or on my chest. As for the bleeding, I bled from Sept until Nov, off for 2 weeks in Dec and some in Jan before it finally stopped. It was a mess. I don't think they consider it abnormal until it lasts more than 4 weeks.

Good luck with everything. It does get easier!
