How long did you wait to get pregnant after surgery?

How long did you wait to get pregnant after surgery??? Did you find it was easier than prior to surgery, if you tried? How does being healthier make a difference?
I am def. planning to get pregnant awhile after my surgery and am curious how it is going for everyone else.

one of the main reasons behind my choice for WLS was so I could have a healthy pregnancy without all the complications of being obese.  I am just over 2 months out (post RNY) and hubby and I plan to start trying at the one year mark...so we have a bit of time and its going to be hard to be patient. But it will be so worth it. : )

I found out I was pregnant after my IUD failed 9 months post WLS. My OB's theory is that since estrogen is stored in your fat cells, that my rapid weightloss (130lbs in 7 months) may have thrown my estrogen/progesterone levels out of whack and helped the baby "stick" despite the IUD being in place.

Not sure what contraceptives you're using, but plan to use a back up method, too. WLS makes some women super fertile and there is a reason doctors tell you to wait 18-24 months post-op before trying to conceive. It's been rough trying to consume enough calories/gain weight with this pregnancy.

I got pregnant 3 months out from my RNY, I was so newrvous about the health of my baby the whole time but all was well with borth her and I and she will be 4 months old tomorrow and now Hubby and I are trying again!

I am almost 10 months post op and just found out I'm pregnant. We weren't trying. My husband came home for R&R (2 week break) from Afghanistan a month early, and bam, bun in the oven.

We had tried for years prior to WLS, so obviously for me, it made it MUCH easier.
