hospital bag?

I need to pack my hospital bag. This needs to be done sooner than later. Any advice what I should pack? I know an outfit for Punkin and me to leave the hospital in. Would I have time to read? Should I pack a book?

I had some insomnia the first night I was there and was glad to have my laptop so you might want a book, if not it's small enough.

I packed a coming home outfit for each of us, a night gown and robe for me, my pillow

Honestly that was all I really used of my own stuff other then toiletries - I had a huge bag of stuff packed and hardly used any of it. The hospital provides most of what you need.

I was soo excited and prepared for my baby girls arrival that I brought her own outfit forwhen she was born, my own hat for her, outfits for her stay at the hospital (she never woreanything from the hospital) and my own comfy clothes. I didn't wear the hospital gowns and wore sweats and tanktop or tshirt. I also brought my pump in case I couldn't bresatfeed for some reason along with some comfort foods I knew I might wantto snack on when it wasn't meal time. I broughtmy own shampoos and stuff like that. I did use it al, other thna my pump....Good luck to you, your little one will be here before you know it!!!!

I packed a cozy pair of dark sweatpants! I am so glad I did too, because the light pair did not make it very long!

Slippers, robe, and some thicker maxi panti-liners with wings. The ones from the hospital are huge and uncomfortable.

Nightgowns/robethat you can nurse in if you are nursing and don't mind if they get bloody
My fav pads the diapers with mesh panites was not cutting it
My own pillow
I used all there tolietries except for my shampoo
I used the hospitals non slip socks and a pair of crocs that i did not care about for the shower
Diaper wipes, our hosp uses dry cloth and water also I used the wipes for myself.
phone charger, camera, batteries
Sweats to go home in and a tshirt something loose
Molly was tiny and nothing fit! I had a hat and onsie for her and blanket.

For hubby
A roll of quarters/singles
deck of cards
Pj's/change of clothes
Meds (tylenol, immodium etc.)

everything we had fit into a suitcase with wheels the small ones. You would suprised how little you need! :)

I love all the things the other ladies said ... I SO overpacked. In addition to the things they said, I loved my chapstick and beef jerkey. I brought mints and gum for DH, too ... he was all up in my face for sooo long, it really helped! Good luck! 

I brought WAAAAAY too much stuff. I didn't really need much. The TV in the hospital was good enough for entertainment for me while i was in labor and my little girl was entertainment after she was born. Seriously I couldn't stop looking at her! So the only thing I am sooooo glad that I bought & brought with me were depends. I hated what they gave me to wear at the hospital and the depends were soo much better. Good luck...you're getting so close!
