Pregnant & Can't stop eating!! Is my pouch stretching???

I am 15 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. As with my first 2 pregnancies, I have a tendancy to eat and eat. I only gained 10lbs with my first and almost 30 with my 2nd. I was able to lose the weight fairly quick after each. However, I don't know what that means long term. Am I going to stretch out my pouch? I am so paranoid. I know I can't be the only pregnant woman on here eating all the time! It might be small amounts at a time, but it ends up a large portion in the end. For example, I asked my husband to bring home dinner tonight because I didn't feel like cooking. He brought me a grilled chicken philly sandwich. Now, before getting pregnant, I could probably take 5-6 bites and be done for the night. Well, I took 4 bites and I was satisfied. An hour later, I had another 5/6 bites. An hour later, same thing. Needless to say, it took a few hours, but that 6" was GONE! Uggh. I was wondering if anyone went through this during their pregnancy and how it was after.....was your pouch stretched out or were you back to eating small amounts and staying content with that amount? Am I doomed?
Thanks for your help!

I unfortunately can't answer your question but have the same problem. This is my first pregnancy and I am 16 weeks pregnant...and I feel hungry ALL the time. The scary part is that I also seem to be eating more and more. I sure hope we haven't stretched our pouches!!

Your pouch can certianly stretch. The relaxin hormone released during pregnancy makes it easy. After pregnancy you can do the 5 day pouch test to 'fix' your pouch, but you have to be careful because your bad habits can come back. The hunger abated some after I had my son but it was hard to get back on track.

Good luck. Watch yourself now and try to guard yourself against more work later.

I asked this same question, so you are NOT the only woman that is eating more than normal. Got some answers from your replys. Lets hope it gets better after the babies are born. :)

I am the same way.  I am 17 weeks and I can eat so much more than I could before becoming pregnant.  Its so weird.   I am scared that the weight is going to start piling on.  I am eating alot of small meals through out  the day, but the small meals seem larger than before.  I hope that I can get any extra weight off as quickly as possible after the baby comes.  We just gotta pray for each other!!!
Best Wishes

Thank you for your help, everyone! I appreciate it. I am glad I am not the only one. I wish people who already had their baby would respond. I guess we will all have to hope things go back to the way they were before we got pregnant....ahhhh......the things we do for kids! LOL

My surgeon told me this was normal and the majority of  people go back to smaller portions after the baby, but sometimes the grazing is still a problem.

It will take some self control, but you can go back to your post op habits afterward easily.

I didn't eat so much in the beginning but as I got father along my eating did pick up. I know for a normal pregnant women that nothing but I am so worried that I did all this for nothing because I panic about gaining weight. I wanted to say this don't think to much about it because I tried to exercise and fainted. So be careful ! Hope that helps!!
