Thanks Amy and I think it's going to be a great experience for my son Tyler to be a big brother to a little boy, so you know......I enjoy being on the Blue Team again.

Hi Gina, no you are NOT a bad mom at all. Sometimes we just have our heart set on a pink or blue bundle. I will feel the same, if I find out I am having a boy, That is why I think these gender-scans are important so we can deal with feelings like this. Are you planning on having more? I have researched the myths of how to concieve a girl, and there are "things" you can do to help that option along. LOL.

The theory is that Y sperm (boy), thrive in alkaline vaginal environments, and the X sperm (girls) are more hardy to an acidic environment. Drinking or eating foods that are more acidic can make your utereus more inhospitable to the boy sperm. Shortly before doing the "dance" every month (and for a week afterwards) I drank a ton of grapefruit juice daily, and ate those little tomatoes. Not all fruit is acidic though, you have to research which ones can actually make your environment more alkaline. There is also a supplement that I found once while googling this info, like a herbal supplement that does the same thing. Anyway, this is what I have done, will not know what I am carrying for at least 10 more weeks, but hopefully this theory works!

Congrats!!! I do not think that you are a bad mother!! I am having the same thoughts actually. I have my first Ultrasound Tuesday and I am hoping the sex is a boy!! And I did a post not to long ago that I have thoughts that if I find out its a girl then I might not have a good reaction as I would if I found out its a boy!! Even though like another person posted..what if they say..its one sex and then it comes out another sex. So at this point I am like should I get my heart set on the sex they do tell me or just wait til I have more than one that says what the sex is unless its very noticeable and easy to tell. We will see!! Best of luck to ya!!

I thought for sure I was having a girl, but found out it was a boy. I was a little disappointed only because I know I wanted my daughter to have a sister, but my son is going to have a brother, so I am so happy now! The best part is that he is healthy!

Welcome to team BLUE!!!

Thanks Lianne and now I'm really looking forward to going blue again. Is it ideal to have one of each sex...yes, but that's okay..God has another plan and I'm good with that :). Go TEAM BLUE!!
