Anybody on fertility treatment and taking allergy meds?

I have been with very bad nasal allergies lately... I have been taking Zyrtec at night and 2 nasal sprays..However, last night I was completely stuffed up and took a squeeze of Afrin to get opened up again.  I didn't sleep too good... i was lucky to be able to see my allergist today..she prescribed a prednisone medicine and I asked her if there would be any interaction with the fertility meds..

She gave me samples of the prednisone but told me to call my RE to find out.  Well, it was after the RE closed but I left a message with the emergency service since I am under treatment and I can call to ask any questions. I got a call back from a nurse (not the usual 2 nurses) I deal with and she had sort of an attitude.

I explained my issue to her.. telling her that tonight I take my Ovidrel and that I wanted to know if it was okay to take prednisone this 3 days (because prednisone is for only these 3 days).  Well, she was very sort of rude to me...she asked me if I told my allergist if I am under fertility treatment.. I wanted to tell her "yeah, stupid!!! but she's not the specialist for these meds" anyway..I told her yes but that she didn't know and instructed me to call my RE office... so I am calling them.. Then, she asked me "are you pregnant?" and I said "No, like I told you tonight I take my Ovidrel shots", then she said.. well the drugs need to be category A or category "X" (don't remember the letter) and I told her.. I have no idea what you are talking about.  I just want to know if it's okay to take this prednisone given that I am taking the Ovidrel shots tonight.

She then gave me sort of an answer... she said.. "well, take it tonight and tomorrow but not the 3rd day because you are supposed to ovulate on the 3rd day".  I wasn't too convinced about her answer....

I guess.. I will just not take it..just to make sure.. don't want to risk it..
Just wanted to know if anybody has been in this situation.....

This is my 3rd round... hope we get lucky on this one.. if not, we'll have to see the dr on 2 weeks to know what's next... I want to ask him about giving us another chance... I also want to ask him about IVF.. but if that's is some probablity.. I will have to wait for a while.. hubby's insurance doesn't cover that but my employer's does... I will have to wait until like January for it...
In the meantime.. I would like him to give us more chances... the first 2 rounds I was under a lot of stress.. I thought I could managed..but I don't think I was that successful at letting it not bother me..

I really don't know about the prednisone, but like you, I'd probably with hold from taking it until I knew for sure. You've been through so much- I'd hate to think it caused a negative reaction to the fertility meds or such.

I DID want to say that I am praying for a positive pregnancy test in a few weeks for you though! Good luck!
