Let me tell you MY story....Before I ahd the bypass, I was 300lbs..PCOS..was going to a fertility specialist...my husband had cancer before I met him and I will be honest, he was told that he would not be able to have a child..that is nornal with Hodgkins cancer. They tested his sperm..he had millions, which surprised them, but they were "slow" I went through 3 rounds of clomid with trigger shots slong with the turkey baster and got pregnant on the 3rd time. NOW...years later....my daughter will be 7 in april..I had the bypass, lost 160lbs and just had my panni removed in may...come home from the beach and guess wht..I"M pregnant. NOW here is someone who can show you that don't always believe tht the doctors know everything!! We used nothing!!!! He thinks he is Mr. Supersperm!!! So that is 2 different examples..positive ones that should give you some hope!! Good luck!
It's a girl !! Robyn Marie...!
March 31 6lbs 12 oz 19 3/4 in

We have a almost 16 year old, tried for 12 years. When my daughter was 4, we went through all of the "testing". My husband was told he had on his 1st test he had a 1% morphology. His retest, it was a .5 morphology! We were told IVF w/ICSI was our only hope. We actually went through 2 rounds, with no success. Then I had GBS, 3 years later, 2 days after my husband 40th birthday, I found out I was pregnant!!!! Then 15 months later, I am pregnant again!!!!!! So, here we are with a 15 year old, a 3 year old and a 1 year old!!! So, never say never!!!!

Don't be disouraged!!!!
Here is my story.... before I had RNY I was 365lbs - MAJOR PCOS. Had surgery 2 years and regular cycles got reffered to a Reproductive Endochronologist because of my history. DH had a SA - and it was horrible in all categories. Bascially only 1million that were worth it when there should be like at least 10 million. I had IUI treatments with clomid and conceived my 1st DD on the 2nd try. When she was 4 months old I became pregnant unexpectantly. Unfortunately I lost that baby at 12 weeks. My husband and I then again when through 5 failed IUIs. We were getting ready to go through IVF and the first month we were breaking from the meds and trying to scrape up $15k I got pregnant with my 2nd DD! When she was 4 months old I decided to start using OPKs to track my cycle and start trying - if not pregnant by the time she was 1 would go back to the RE. I got pregnant with #3 my son (who is 9 wks old) on my second postpartum cycle! WTH???
It is so worth it to go to an RE who you are comfortable with and is open with you. There is so much info out there..... it can happen it just may take a little extra help or time!
There are several ladies on this board that have been TTC with these issues as well. They are a great source of advice and info, so if you are ever curious or just need to vent - we have all been there!
Good luck!

Well...on the one hand at least you are getting some answers. I had pcos and trouble ovulating, hubby had really bad sperm counts and problems with morph. His counts were 2 mil post wash. We did rounds of clomid and iui with no success. I was taking metformin to regulate my cycles, but was on a cycle break from treatments, actually on jury duty, when I conceived my daughter. We felt we were blessed with one and the treatments were so hard on us...that Emma would be it. Then, just on metformin (which I asked for from my regular doc to regulate my cycles) we conceived Micah... a huge surprise considering we both have issues. Point is... it can happen. I would ask about adding the metformin to your clomid. It takes a few months to really start working, but they use it often together for fertility. Also, just wondering why you will just be bd and not trying the IUI. I would think with hubbies issues it would increase your chances if you were to plant the good ones right where they are supposed to be when you o. Just curious. Good luck on the clomid and I will keep it in prayer. Shari
