My period is due in 2 days, is it too early to take a HPT and get a positive result?  I know they have the ones that can detect a few days before your period, but are they really accurate?

it would most likely be accurate by now.  I took 2 brands 5 days before my period was due.  I would suggest first responce early result or EPT digital.  Good luck!!

I'm interested to see what kind of reply you get. I am 2 days into my monthly and it's a no show! I am hoping, but don't want to get my hopes up. Don't know if I should test yet or not!? Good luck to you!

I don't like the digital tests of any kind due to the fact several years ago I got a false Positive on the Clear Blue Easy Digital. The most accurate test in "my opinion" is the First Response Early Result - which allows you to test up to 6 days before your missed period. I used that test for both pregnancies and got early and accurate results. I don't believe it's too early, but you have to think in terms of DPO (Days Post Ovulation) if you're atleast 11 DPO then perhaps you'll get a accurate result now. If not keep trying because the HCG hormone for which the test detects is dependent upon "implantation" whic typically occurs 8 to12 days DPO. If the egg has no implanted YET a negative result might be inaccurate. Good luck sweetie :)

I tested about 4 days early on a First response Digital and it was a negative. Then the day my period was due I took a Clear Blue Digital and it was positive. So I actually used a non digital for the (second opinion) and it was negative. Even at a week late. So i prefer the digital myself. That happened with all 3 pregnancies. The first one I used non digital and was almost a month late before I decided to try digital and it was positive!

Get a double pack. It depends on how much HCG levels are in your blood. Anything over 2 means preggo, but some tests do not detect until 60+. I took 6 tests 3 days before my period including 2 didgital ones. The first digital said not pregnant, the 2nd 5 minutes later said pregnant. LOL good luck.

Aww, I'm sorry girlie...praying for next month for ya!  I used a first response test this morning and it was a BFN :-(  it's annoying because I am feeling a lot of pregnancy symptoms but it may also still be too early if I implanted or ovulated later than I thought...I will keep ya'll posted!
