Need To Vent A Little.....

First off, let me preface this with I go to High Risk Doctors at a High Risk Clinic....

My mother and family are driving me nuts!!!  I'm sorry Anushka's late arrival has been inconvenient for you, but she will come when she is ready.  I have had multiple doctors visits in the last week because of a headache, nauseous and some very mild vomiting.

My mother wants me induced...yesterday......she informed me today that a nice Grandparent's day gift would be the arrival of their first grandchild.  My sister had to wor****il 9 tonight.....so she told me I needed to go to the ER to be induced after that.  They don't understand that this baby will come when she is ready or when the doctors force her to....I implicitly trust my doctors.

I'm so tired of all the phone calls and questions.  I'm about ready to lose my mind.....they all need to calm down and give it a rest.  If they don't stop, I'll have my bf call them after labor is over......because I can't imagine how they will be during that.  My mom wants in the room, but I think it is a special time for my BF and me and I don't want anyone other than us.

I'm sorry....I'm all over the place.  Thanks for listening!

Vent away. Sorry they're being impatient but I'm sure part of it is just the excitement of being new grandparents. Trust in your docs and your body.

While I'm sure they mean well, that must be so frustrating for you! It's not like you don't have enough going on emotionally right now already!

Hang in there and stick to your guns! It will work out!

D'you have caller ID?  If so...put it to work.  Don't answer the phone unless you're up to dealing with them.  I know they're excited and impatient - but no one can be more excited or impatient than you and your BF...but you're coping and everyone else can too.  Remind them that babies don't always come at the most convenient time.

Re the delivery room...it's your choice whom you have there.  Talk to your dr/nurses when you check in and you tell them what YOU want.  If you don't want your mom/family in there...make it known that they're welcome to wait in the waiting room and your bf will come out and keep them updated on how things are going...but that you're more comfortable with it just being the two of you.

It can't be MUCH longer...hang in there.  Hopefully when she gets around to making her grand appearance...it'll come quick and easy...maybe you won't even have TIME to make any phone calls to let everyone know 'it's time!'

I am so sorry they are driving you crazy! I hope that your little girl makes her entrance soon! I am sure that your Mom is worried about your health too, but your Drs are on board with waiting and I am sure you are in the best hands.

As for the delivery room it is totally up to you. I wanted my Mom there because I knew she would be calming for both of us and that if things got hairy she would jump into action without  me having to ask (which she did!). BUT that being said I know that isn't for everyone. My nurses would ask before they let anyone in. My Dad, Hubby's Grandmother and Uncle waited in the waiting room (they showed up just minutes before she was born even though we hadn't called them yet). Once Amelia and I were cleaned up and snuggling the nurse went out and got them.

Good luck hun - hang in there!! This will all be a distant memory before you know it

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm 32 weeks now  and lucky to be that far along and my family keep pressing me for a C-sect date. I keep telling them that we have no idea how far I will get and are playing it by ear until around week 36, then an amnio or my cervix should tell us where we stand. They act like this is just the same as every other pregnancy sometimes. ugh!
Good luck!

*hugs* Family is a pain in the butt but ya can't kill them. I agree with who ever said use caller ID if you have it. If you don't feel like talking, don't answer the phone. Good luck with all of it.
