Movement

I am almost 22 weeks along now and I was starting to get a bit worried because I wasn't sure if I was feeling any movement at all with my little girl. I was going to wait another few days and then call my OB office to ask if this was normal and possibly post something on here to ask when you all first defiantly saw and felt movement on your tummy's.

I was sitting back tonight on my couch and the craziest feeling popped in my tummy and then my tummy just moved ( I swear probably 1-2 inches outward) for a few seconds. Then my tummy went back to normal and I felt and saw a bunch of smaller vibrations in the same spot. It was the most amazing feeling and I started crying. My little girl is showing me she is there...FINALLY!!! I am so overjoyed right now!

There was no mistaking this for gas this time. LOL. So I decided to post anyways to ask all of you Mommas and Momma to be's...How far along were you when you saw and felt a nice size movement? I was starting to think maybe because I lost so much weight from my RNY and have extra skin now its just taking longer. Or maybe because this is my first time being pregnant this long I just didn't realize any of the small flutters everyone talks about. I'm not sure I have ever felt flutters. I assume GAS every time since  I have had sooo much of that through out this pregnancy thus far.

I started feeling the REAL movements about a week ago, and the flutters were about 3 weeks ago. My kids are very active in the womb though. Congrats on feeling the baby! I know that I like to just take a few minutes every now and then to relax and lay down just to feel him move! I just love that feeling!

With my first pregnancy, I felt my first good flutter on Mother's Day...talk about the best gift ever. I want to say I was between 4 and 5 months at the time.

Right now, I'm only 10 weeks and no idea when I will feel them this time...but it is a great anticipation.

I am so happy you got to see and feel your baby!!!  Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt it regular at almost 23 weeks. I had a few "thunks" before that but didn't think anything of it since it wasn't the "flutters". Where is you placenta? If it is anterier (in the front) it keeps you from feeling movement a lot. Even now I just feel it on the sides.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Kathy~ I don't know where my placenta is lying. I should ask this on my next appointment, which is in 2 weeks. By then I'll be about 24 weeks along so hopefully I am feeling the same movement I did last night more frequently anyways. My last appointment the OB and ultrasound Tech both told me that the placenta and my uterus looked really good though.

Last night I felt little thumps in my lower belly off and on for almost an hour while trying to sleep! LOL. I didn't mind though...it was so reassuring and beautiful even at 3 a.m. LOL. Today I am pretty sure I can feel just movement like swishing, maybe her just turning about? No little or big thumps today yet, but I'm thinking she may be more active in the evenings anyways. I love this!
