Sage's Dr. appt today... lots of pics and question??

Sage had her 4 month appt today (2 weeks late).  My big girl is 15 lbs, 24 inches, and her hugeee noggin is still in the 90th percentile!!!  The Dr. said she is very advanced and while interacting with her stated many times she cannot believe she is only four months old.  She is a veryyy strong girl, rolling around all over the place.  Can bring herself almost to a crawling position and even holds herself standing up against the coffee table (of course mommy or daddy place her there).  She is eating barley cereal and sweet potatoes and pears.  She loves to babble and blow bubbles.   She also got 3 vaccinations today

We did discover an umbilical hernia, which I've been suspecting.  My Dr said it was common and should resolve itself on its own.  Anyones baby had this that didn't require intervention?  It doesn't hurt her when pushed on it and is relatively small.

She is the best baby, if they could all be exactly like her I would have 10 more.  Great sleeper and hardly ever cries!

So cute!!!

Stacy's little girl, Stajah had surgery for an hernia not that long ago, I don't remember if it was umbilical or not.

She is such a doll, and is adorable. Sounds like she is right on target. As for the hernia, not sure on the umbilical kind. I had inguinal hernias as a baby and required surgery which I got at about a year old. I THINK this was what Stajah had but not sure.

I don't have any experience with this, but I just want to stop and say you have such an adorable, happy little punkin. She looks like she loves life!! I just love the up close one of her eyes...they're screaming..."it wasn't me!" LOL

My 4 year old had an umbilical hernia that resolved itself by the time she had her 1 year check up. Her pediatrician told me that they don't really fix them unless it causes problems and that they usually resolve on their own.

Aethyn had/has one! He is two now (well almost 2) We can still feel it, but it is resolving on it's own!! His Dr. Checks it at every appt and keeps an eye on it! I was really worried about it at first, but it is healing and the dr keeps a close eye on it!

No info re the hernia...but she's a cutie.  I like the really close up picture...sort of a 'You lookin' at ME?' expression.  I bet she's gonna be an early walker as much as she's moving around.  I remember when my son was young (maybe 12-15 months old), we had a lady who baby sat him for a few weeks (stopped using her because he screamed bloody murder every time he saw her...and he wasn't like that with anyone else...so I just figured there was something about her that wasn't right...)...anyways...she also babysat a baby girl who was six months old...and the six month old was up and walking all over the place!   I'd never seen a baby that young walking before.  It was amazing.  Who knows...maybe Sage will do it too?
