Did you ever get the Britax Marathon? I was looking at the new models in BRU yesterday (I am a tad bit excited, lol) and they have this cool headrest that actually pulls up to make the carseat taller for older kids. LOL I was playing with it for 10 minutes. I am definitely geting that model in a year or so because it looks so comfortable, and a 4 year old could easily fit in it.
First off CONGRATS! I hope you have an easy, uneventful, happy 9 months!
Yes I did get it! I am so happy with it, it's so cute and soft. and install was a breeze. I am glad I didn't bother to wait for the new one's though, my kids are SO short (LOL) that I don't think we would ever really need the extra height of the headrest and it looks like that is the only real change that they made. I am pretty sure that my 8 year olds would still fit into the one I bought LOL
If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have skipped the infant bucket seat (I never used it except for in the car) and just went right for the Marathon.

funny you post this.. i was just doing my "research" on this.. jayson is ready to get out of his convertable... he still fits persay but the crotch strap squeezes to tight on his manly parts... hes at least 30 lbs and half my height.. yeah hes not even 2 yet... wears 4t-5t.. you get the idea.. i called the dr and he said to get him a combo booster... it still has a 5 point harness and then later converts... thankfully the one i chose is on the "best bets"... it holds up to 100 lbs and 57 inches ( so it says anyway)..
I have the opposite problem LOL My kids are so short and light that they should probably all still be in a 5 point system even at 8 years old. The seats we have are on the list of "best bets", but they are about to expire so I need to buy new ones, I know they would hate to be switched over to 5 point now, but I am almost tempted LOL I will probably just end up buying the same ones we already have.
