trying for another baby

I just had my sweet sweet baby girl 15 weeks ago (on Friday it will be 15 weeks). My husband and I would really like to try for another one now. I just stopped breast feeding a few days ago because I want for my period to come back and hopefully get pregnant soon. I just was looking for some (positive) advice on how to move things along to help get pregnant, I just magically ended up pregnant with my little girl....

If you don't think having babies close together is a good idea please don't respond to my post as I am just looking for ways to help. I want them close!

Thanks so much to all who can offer help!

We are working on trying to get pregnant in the next month or so (our daughter will be 8 months old next week).  Luckily I didn't have to stop breastfeeding her as I started my period back up when she was 5 months old (I hope to keep breastfeeding her throughout my second pregnancy.)  I am not sure how to help you move things along as, like you we had no issues conceiving the first time, and got pregnant before we started trying.
I have started using the Clear Blue Easy Fertility monitor and that has been nice.
Good luck.

My girls are a bit less then 16 months apart-  They are a handful together- yet I wouldnt want it any other way.  My second was a surprise...but definately a blessing. I would say start tracking your cycles, which should come back soon.  I  had about 8-10 week break from cycles following my delivery. I would think if your cycle doesnt return soon, maybe a quick call to your Dr woulld be helpful.  (Not all Dr's are supportive of pregnancies close to each other.) Good luck.

my youngest 2 are 13 months apart. As soon as my cycle came back after #2 (she was 8 weeks) I started using OPKs to track - I got preggo on my second cycle - I honestly didn't expect it to happen that fast!

Now that I have had #3, I am still waiting for my period to come back. He is 8 weeks old today.... so I am hoping within the next few weeks. I don't plan on having another soon as I am working towards applying to RN school, but I would like to track my cycles to avoid pregnancy for now, and know where I am at when I am ready for #4!

Good luck!

Try Evening Primrose oil softgels. They are supposed to regulate your periods, and improve cervical mucas quality.  Since you had RNY, I would take 2000mlg a day. There are other benefits too, and it's a natural herb :)
