Not in Labor.........
I just wanted to give everyone an update from yesterday......
I called L&D today because I thought, in addition to everything else that was going on, I was leaking some fluid......not the case.
The nurse told me to come and be checked because there was no way to determine if it was amniotic fluid until they checked. So, the bf and I head to the hospital. The nurse was super nice!!! (I hope she is there when I do go into labor) Changed my clothes and the nurse does my vitals and hooks me up to the monitor. The doctor came into to talk to me and told me that if they found out it was amniotic fluid, they would induce me to start contractions.
Then the speculum comes out......I have never had an exam hurt that bad......but because they are checking fluid and the baby is down on your pelvis they don't use lubricant. They swab to check the fluid and then he checked for dialation.
So final result.......no dialation, no water breakage. She looked good on the monitor. Her hr was between 125 and 130, with it rising to about 158 when they gave me juice. He said she was small......but not dangerously small. So, I am back home to wait for her to be ready.
He said the headache and the back pain might be my body adjusting to what is about to happen.
