I'm 18 weeks pregnant and have had frequent headaches the whole time. When it gets really bad I will take some tylenol and that helps bit. I used to get headaches all the time before wls and would take ibuprofin or excredrin and get some relief. ( I know I can't take eigther post op.) It hasn't been until becoming pregnant that the headaches have returned. Anyways, here am I sitting with yet another headache that I have had since about 1pm and it got me thinking...I'm going to be having a C-section (my 3rd), what will/can I take for pain afterwards?

My doctor prescribes vicodin. You can talk to your doctor about their protocol for pain after c-section

First of all talk to your MD about your headaches ASAP! It could be blood sugar, blood pressure or just the hormones but there are other meds called Fiorcet while pregnant that can help and are okay to take.

Second Vicodin, Lortab, Norco are all varying strengths of hydrocodone and Tylenol. Its a popular drug for post op pain although if you plan on breastfeeding most doctors will say Tylenol 3 is better to take while nursing less effect on baby.

Are you wondering what pain meds because you r post op gastric bypass? If so then anything that's does not contain ibuprofen or asprin aka Vicoprofen which is hydrocodone and ibuprofen.

I hope this helps!
