Hi Gals,
I am trying to narrow down a name for my little bundle of joy coming in only 27 days.  We are going to go with either Ella or Gabriella for the first name.  My husband and daughter (she is 5) like just Ella.  I kind of like Gabriella and then call her Ella for a nickname so she has more choices when she is older as to what she would rather go by. So that is the first thing I was wanting an opinion on.  Second, the middle name.  We were thinking about Ella Sophia.  But, I don't think Sophia goes with Gabriella as well as Ella.  So any suggestions on a middle name that goes with Gabriella.

I love both.  They were both early choices for us.  We also liked Elle.  I don't think I am any help lol.  They are both great names.  I would have to say Gabriella!

If you go with Gabriella, I'm sure most people would probably end up calling her Gabby, not Ella. I think Ella is fine by itself, and Sophia flows well with it.

2nd the opinion on Gabby. I think Ella is a beautiful, distinctive name.

Seems like y'all have the 1st name picked.  I would go with Gabriella and use ella or Gabby for nickname, if you're into that sort of thing.

A lot of times a kid's friends will pick a nickname for them.  Might be something totally different from her name.  She may like being called Sophie when she gets to Jr. High school.
